- Our Star, the Sun: Life and Time in a Solar System
Book 20: Our Star, the Sun: Life and Time in a Solar System
Synopsis
The Sun is a dominant influence in the patterns of life on Earth. Living things are dependent on energy from the Sun, and the patterns of the Sun's appearance govern our understanding and measurement of time. Activities in this book lead children to observe some of these patterns and, through them, gain some awareness of the nature of the Sun and other stars in the universe.
